1 Introduction
UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd. ("UWAY", "we", "us", or "our") provides a technology-enabled platform that connects intending travellers with Cab / Taxi / Tempo Traveller / Bus operators across India. UWAY does not own or operate any taxi, tempo traveller, bus or auto rickshaw.
By accessing our website (uwaycarrental.com), mobile application, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any booking.
2 Definitions
- "Cab" — Includes all categories of transport vehicles such as sedans, hatchbacks, sport utility vehicles (SUVs), multi-utility vehicles (MUVs), and any other vehicle used to transport passengers.
- "Cab Operator" — All cab operators who provide their vehicles along with drivers through UWAY's platform.
- "User" — Any individual or corporate entity that accesses UWAY's platform to book cab services.
- "Services" — All cab booking, corporate transport, airport transfer, outstation and employee transportation services facilitated by UWAY.
3 Types of Cab Bookings

Outstation Cab: Enables Users to book vehicles operated by Cab Operators holding an All India Tourist Permit (AITP) for travel between two separate cities. UWAY, as a facilitator, connects the User with the concerned Cab Operator based on the User's demand/requirement.

Car Rental (Intracity & Intercity): Enables Users to book vehicles from Cab Operators holding an AITP licence on a hire/rental basis. This service is provided for both intercity and intracity travel on an exclusive basis by booking the entire vehicle.

Airport Transfers: Caters exclusively to Users intending to travel to and from airports. This service is intracity in nature and does not facilitate intercity airport drops.

Employee Transportation Services (ETS): Corporate cab solutions for businesses requiring daily pick-up and drop of employees across shifts, with dedicated route management and women's safety protocols.
4 Role of UWAY & Limitation of Liability
- UWAY does not operate cab services on its own. To provide a comprehensive choice of cab services, cab types and prices to Users, it has tied up with many Cab Operators.
- UWAY acts only as a facilitator between the Cab Operator and the User. The transaction is always between the Cab Operator and the User.
- If a registered customer does not inform UWAY regarding driver denial of the trip within 30 minutes of the scheduled pickup time through his/her registered number, it will be considered as a no-show from the customer's end and no refund will be applicable.
- It is the sole responsibility of the Cab Operator to ensure it has all requisite licences, approvals, insurance and permits from appropriate authorities required to undertake the booked travel. UWAY gives no warranty or assurance in regard to the same.
- UWAY shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever for any claims with respect to the trip, including but not limited to: timeliness, safety, continuity, uninterrupted travel, quality, vehicle condition, driving skill, punctuality, driver behaviour, vehicle interiors, cancellation of the trip by the Cab Operator, loss/theft/damage of baggage, provision of a different type of cab, or any act/omission of the Cab Operator causing accident or loss of life.
- UWAY will not be liable to the User or any other person for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind arising from the use of our platform, insofar as such information is provided by the Cab Operator.
- UWAY shall help in getting an alternate arrangement and, if the vendor has taken any advance payment for distance uncovered, UWAY will assist in recovering that payment from the vendor. However, UWAY shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage during the ride caused by a third-party driver. UWAY reserves the right to withhold the advance amount paid in the event of any misbehaviour or misconduct — physical, oral or mental — towards the driver.
5 Safety Guidelines
⚠️ Important: Always verify the driver name, vehicle number and cab model shared in your booking confirmation before boarding. Do not ride if the information does not match.
- Do not ride if the vehicle and driver information do not match the details provided by UWAY. We shall not be responsible or liable if you choose to ride in a vehicle that is not commercially licensed or with a driver other than the one assigned to you.
- UWAY will not be responsible for any trouble or mishappening during the journey after driver and cab verification has been done by the customer at the start of the journey.
- Women travellers are assigned verified female-friendly drivers wherever available. Our No Refusal Policy ensures no booking is declined based on destination or gender.
- We only generate leads and are responsible until the driver and customer are matched for the journey to commence.
6 Journey Rules & Charges
- Luggage: Compact — 2 small or 1 large bag; Sedan — 4 small or 2 large bags; SUV — 6 small or 3 large bags. Additional luggage may attract extra charges.
- Extra Kilometres: If the journey exceeds the booked kilometres, extra KMs will be charged as per prevailing norms.
- Toll, State Tax & Parking: Toll tax, state/border tax and parking charges are to be paid by the customer as per actuals. These are NOT included in the booking amount.
- Airport Entry Fees: Parking and airport entry fees are NOT included in the booking ticket and are the customer's responsibility.
- Additional Passengers: The driver will not allow additional passengers or luggage beyond the vehicle category limits stated in the reservation.
- Vehicle Model: For Value/Economy bookings, UWAY can promise a vehicle in a certain category but cannot guarantee a specific model unless the booking type explicitly guarantees it.
- AC in Hill Areas: Air conditioning will be turned off in hill areas as per safety norms.
- CNG Vehicles: CNG cabs are not permitted in hill areas or on non-CNG routes. Driver fuelling time is included in journey hours.
- Driver Food & Lodging: The driver will arrange his own food and lodging. The customer is not required to bear these expenses unless agreed otherwise.
- Base Fare Includes: Fuel charges, taxi rent, service charge and booking charge.
- Waiting Charges: ₹250 per hour, applicable after the first 30 minutes of waiting (billed on an hourly basis).
- Extra Pick-up / Drop: Any additional pick-up or drop point will be chargeable at ₹250 per stop.
- Journey Break: Only one break of 30 minutes is permitted during the journey.
- Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid to the driver at the beginning of the journey.
- OTP: Provide the One-Time Password (OTP) to the driver to start the trip.
- No Refund After Service: After availing the service, no refund is applicable in any case.
- No refund after driver & cab assigned: If duration is less than 4 hours and driver/cab is already assigned, no amount will be refunded.
- Duty Slip: It is mandatory for both the customer and the driver to submit a complete, properly signed and dated duty slip at the end of the trip. UWAY will not entertain any dispute pertaining to a particular trip in the absence of a duty slip.
- Speed: Please do not pressurise the driver for high speed. Safe driving is our priority.
- Company Cancellation: UWAY can cancel your booking if unable to find a cab for your scheduled time. In such cases, a full refund will be processed.
7 Payment Safety & Fraud Prevention
At UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd., we are always happy to help our customers and care for their safety. We wish to inform every customer to be careful while making any payment. Please note the following:
- While making any online payment, please verify the account name. The name appearing should be 'UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd.' If a different name reflects, kindly refrain from making any payment.
- Transactions made via Debit/Credit cards will take you to a payment gateway. The name appearing on the gateway page shall be of UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd. only.
- The details of our accounts are clearly mentioned on the 'Contact Us' page of our website. If you have any doubt, feel free to visit www.uwaycarrental.com and verify the details.
- Any transaction/payment made to an account having a different name than UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd. shall not be deemed valid by the company.
- UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd. shall not be responsible for any loss of money or fraud arising from payment made to an incorrect account. Responsibility in such a case shall solely lie with the customer who made the payment.
8 Jurisdiction
UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd. is not a party to and is not responsible for any kind of dispute between a vendor/driver and a customer. However, if required, the jurisdiction for any kind of dispute with UWAY Car Rental Pvt. Ltd. shall exclusively be the Ahmedabad District Court, Gujarat, India.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
